We've based Webrary Links on the durable legacy of Melvil Dewey (1851-1931), whose cataloging system is followed by nearly every public library in the United States. Obviously, this isn't a complete list of everything to be found from 000 to 999, but we think we've hit the high points. We invite you to search the virtual stacks with us, but please remember:
- Sites frequently move or disappear. While all links to remote sites are checked on a regular basis to confirm their continued existence, the Morton Grove Public Library has no control over, and cannot be responsible for, the availability of remote sites.
- Remote sites may contain information that is erroneous, out-of-date, illegal or considered offensive, controversial or sexually explicit; the entire responsibility for identifying/avoiding such information is the user's. Child Safety on the Information Highway is an informative brochure on the issue of children and their utilization of online resources.
- Sites are added to the Webrary based on their usefulness and the presumed authoritativeness and accuracy of their sources. Just as the Library collects books on all subjects and viewpoints, the presence or absence of a subject or viewpoint in the Webrary is in no way a reflection of Library policy.
