Search the Obituary File
Individuals listed must have resided in Morton Grove or neighboring North Shore suburbs at some time in their lives. Dates covered are generally from the mid-1970s to present, though coverage may not be comprehensive prior to 1995, and records prior to 1984 often do not include actual death dates.
You may search on any portion of a first and/or last name. All names are automatically truncated (meaning that the results will include all names beginning with the names you enter), so in many cases you may not need to know the exact spelling of the name. When entering both a first and last name, the names can be entered in either order. For example:
Smith
John Smith
Smith John
Smith, John
A maximum of 100 matches will be returned. If the search results indicate there are more than 100 matches but the one you're looking for is not included in the 100 that are displayed (which will always be the first 100 matches in the file), repeat your search with additional information: if you only included the last name, add the first initial; if you included a first initial, add another letter of the first name, etc.
Entries are derived from notices in the four weekly Morton Grove newspapers: The News (no longer published), Champion, Life and Bugle.
