Summary
Jambo and Marva, as they are known in America, emigrated from France to Iowa and opened up a small tree nursery, pumpkin patch, and salvage yard. They and their twelve little piglets were skilled topiarists. Every autumn, along with all of the other nurseries in the area, they sculpted giant turkey topiaries, for which there was a big demand. One morning though, Jambo awoke to discover that all of their turkeys had been stolen! The clues implicated Voler, a notorious topiary thief, but because no one could distinguish which turkey trees were theirs, nothing could be proven. Things looked grim, but Marva had a plan . . . Glowing etchings fill the pages with dramatic images of giant turkey topiaries. Arthur Geisert has given free rein to his imagination in this creative and unique caper.
