Presidential Candidates, 2008
The following is a list of 2008 presidential candidates who have filed their candidacies with the Federal Election Commission and whose campaigns have raised or spent more than $50,000. The candidate names link to the offical web sites of their campaigns. The FEC also provides a brochure that explains how an individual running for federal office becomes a candidate under the Federal Election Campaign Act. A longer list including potential and announced candidates is available from Project VoteSmart. All information is presented in alphabetic order.
