ELF (Elementary Learning Fun) is a child-safe web browser that allows children to explore carefully chosen, highly engaging, free-use educational resources on the Internet. It provides access only to web sites specifically approved by AWE (Advanced Workstation in Education, Inc.), the company that provides our very popular Early Literacy Stations for children ages two through ten. AWE constantly seeks out new high-quality educational materials to add to the ELF browser.

The ELF browser is provided FREE of charge for all Morton Grove Public Library cardholders for at-home use. There are several ways to obtain ELF:

• Bring a USB flash drive to the Library; Library staff will download ELF to your flash drive, and you can then copy it from the flash drive to your computer.
• Fill out a form at the Youth Services desk; a download link for ELF will be e-mailed to you.
• E-mail the Youth Services desk at ysinfo@webrary.org; a download link for ELF will be e-mailed to you.

Please note that ELF works only computers with Microsoft Windows (any version); it is not available for Macintosh computers.

If you experience any difficulty installing or using ELF, please refer to this troubleshooting page, or contact AWE directly at 866-463-6357 (8:30am-5:00pm Eastern time) for assistance; the Morton Grove Public Library does not provide technical support for ELF.
