Vision Statement
Morton Grove Public Library will meet the needs of its growing and increasingly diverse community by providing services and partnering with other community organizations. All will be welcomed to follow their interests, expand their dreams, learn new skills and interact with other members of the community to enhance their quality of life. The Board of Trustees and staff will work together to serve the public and respond to the changing role of libraries.
Approved by the Morton Grove Public Library Board of Trustees, February 12, 2009.
Mission Statement
The Morton Grove Public Library's Mission Statement guides the selection of materials as it does the development of services and the allocation of resources.
The Morton Grove Public Library will provide a place offering materials, programs, and services to assist the community in its pursuit of personal growth and lifelong learning.
Approved by the Morton Grove Public Library Board of Trustees, June 12, 2008.

The Morton Grove Public Library is located at 6140 Lincoln Ave., Morton Grove, Illinois, 60053, three blocks south of Dempster and three blocks west of Austin.

- From the northwest: Golf to Milwaukee or Waukegan, south to Dempster, then see "From the west."
- From the west: Dempster to Ferris, right to Lincoln, left on Lincoln to MGPL (3 blocks).
- From the east: Dempster to Austin, left on Austin to Lincoln, right on Lincoln to MGPL (3 blocks).

Loan and Fine Policies
Complete information on loan periods, renewals, overdue fines, and availability of services can be found on the Loan, Renewal, Fine and Service Policies page.
3-Week Loan:
- general adult, young adult and children's books
- adult and children's paperbacks
- adult and children's audiobooks
2-Week Loan:
- new adult books
- adult CDs and children's CDs and cassettes (except audiobooks)
- CD-ROMs
- magazines
1-Week Loan:
- videos
- DVDs
- graphic novels
Overdue Fines:
- Fines are $1 per day for all videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs and interlibrary loans, and 15¢ per day for all other materials. Overdue notices are sent when items are 15 days overdue. A bill for the replacement cost of non-returned items is sent at 30 days overdue.
