Full-time position for friendly, enthusiastic librarian in
service-oriented Literature and Audio/Video Services Department.
Responsibilities include providing readers' advisory and reference
service for fiction, literature, large print, audio, and video
collections. Requires reading of a wide range of popular fiction genres
and teen books. Schedule includes nights and weekends. Starting salary
is $34,983.00 with usual benefits. Position requires ALA/MLS,
familiarity with readers' advisory techniques in libraries, knowledge of
popular fiction, good people and communication skills, and the ability
to deal with the pressures of public service work in a busy environment.
