"We could, for example, have pointed out that Darwin's theory of
evolution explains how lower life forms can evolve into higher ones,
which in turn makes it entirely reasonable that a human should evolve
into an orangutan (while remaining a librarian since there is no higher
life form than a librarian)."

Updated: 11:11 a.m. ET April 26, 2004 Have you ever wondered who your
daughter is, and who she befriends outside of your home? Most parents
have and they'll think about that a little more with the upcoming release
of "Mean Girls," a fictional comedy starring Lindsay Lohan that gives
some insight into a cool, calculating girl world. It's based on the New
York Times bestseller by author Rosalind Wiseman called, "Queen Bees &
Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends and
Other Realities of Adolescence.”

Well, it's not nonfiction and it's not a woman author, but Harlen Coben was
scheduled to appear on the Today Show April 27, 2004. Probably because his
latest book, 'Just One Look' was scheduled to be released today.

I have a patron who saw an author on the Today Show today (4/27). He, of
course, doesn't remember the author's name or the title. He thinks it is
nonfiction and by a woman author. Any clues?
Thanks,

Hey, thanks for all the suggestions, but he definitely saw it today. I
checked their website, but nothing for today yet. I was hoping maybe
someone had seen it.
