I need help identifying two books. #1 - woman's husband dies jogging,
she is not pregnant and wishes to be, she adopts or tries to adopt baby,
and a beach is there somewhere. #2 - mystery, perhaps series, set in
Scotland, set in city, involves terrain of city - levels of city through
the ages. Thanks!

I'm probably completely off base, but is it possible your reader is thinking
of London by Edward Rutherford for #2? It immediately came to mind when I
read "city through the ages".-----Original Message-----
