Can anyone recognize this?
I've got a patron looking for the text of a poem.
She remembers one line: "courage is one white flower in a fire-swept land."
The patron learned the poem as a child, probably in junior high, some 50 years ago. She went to a Catholic school in Michigan, but says the poem didn't have a particularly Catholic theme or message; it was in a general poetry anthology or textbook (not sure which).
We've already had one false start. The poem she is looking for is NOT "Courage" by Helen Frazee-Bower.
If you have any ideas (courageous or otherwise) on this topic, our patron would be most grateful.
Thanks,
Judy
