2. Is it paranoia or ? The industry is so closely guarded that companies design their own machinery. Does it have to be so secretive?
3. Manaical Mars? What might the Mars company be like today if Forrest Senior had been different? Some examples- Mars was a demanding, volcanic personality. Mars never let his kids eat M&M's. He said they needed every one of them for the business. Even executives punch a time card. Writing memos against company policy. etc.
4. Hershey doesn't sell well in Europe (called offensive and cheesy) did Milton Hershey corrupt American palates? Or was a cheaper, more affordable chocolate what Americans wanted?
5. Conservative verses secretive? Both men made fortunes on their businesses in different ways. What do you think of the ways they did business?
6. Why does chocolate play such an important role in American culture?
