REC'D: 4/24/04, 3:36 PM
Spy novel involving the sabotage of planes—is a
business or industrial espionage thriller. Crime
perpetrated by a stockholder/important person in the
company who wanted to see the stocks plummet. Thinks
Paradise or Bird may have been in title, and author
possibly ex-CIA. Patron thinks the spy is a rich man
and goes to Jamaica at one point in the book.
Remembers a scene of listening to people talking on
boat, picked up by radio.
Here’s a little more from the patron:
“I remembered a detail which might not be that useful.
While the man was in Jamaica he planted microphones
in a ice -cube container in order to listen to the
plans of his enemy, which turns out to be a
stakeholder in the plane company.”
Books that patron says it is not:
Cry of the Halidon/Robert Ludlum
High Flight/David Hagberg
Siren Song/Quinn Fawcett
Thanks is advance for any leads!!
