Help!

I have a customer who has come in looking for a western book. I'm sorry I
have very little information to go on.

It was the first book in a series. The author is female. It is a "newer"
book. The main character is also female. She moved to Minnesota during
pioneer days. She had two kittens she took on the trip with her.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it's Jane Kirkpatrick's All Together in One Place, book one of
the Kinship and Courage series. The book begins on a homestead in Wisconsin
where the woman does have kittens. She is later uprooted by her husband to
join a wagon train west. It was published in 2000.
