Subject: Booklist for adults with a 3rd to 4th grade reading level
A boy scout in my community wants to create books on tape at a local residential treatment facility for women who have developmental disabilities. He needs a list of books at a third to fourth grade reading level that would interest adult women. Everything I've reviewed at my library is too old. Does anyone have a source for relatively current materials?

Select family literacy. When you select a title, there will be
information in the "general information" and "selected audience"
sections. While it won't give the specific grade, it will point in the
right direction.

I would highly recommend Ursula K. LeGuin's four "Catwings" books, which
recount the adventures of four (later five) kittens born with soft furry
wings.
