One of my patrons just asked for help finding a book she read about thirty
years ago. All she remembers is it's about a dentist who somehow
ends up in space.

I think your patron is looking for _Prostho Plus_ by Piers Anthony. I think
it was published in 1974. A dentist is kidnapped in order to fill an alien's
tooth.

Sandra, I finally got hold of the patron today and this is definitely the
