The heroine is trying to make it in Hollywood but this obliges her to work
her way through the hierarchical casting couch quid pro quo. She invents a
technique called the Waterfall (forgive me but the details I remember are
very sketchy).
The top male star falls for her and is completely unaware of what she has
had to do to get parts in the movies. He has his own problems and she
becomes his refuge. The love which develops between them hinges (I am
speculating here as I can't actually remember but it would make sense) upon
her past not being revealed.
Very sketchy but I'm sure than one of you will recognise this book.
Thank you
Zach Lyons

Looking for a book - No title and No author
This book has a Harold Robbins feel to it and dates from pre-1985 but may
be a little more risque than even the outpouring of this doyen of sexual
and financial mores.
