Hello,
I had a patron who would like to have a list of Christian Science
Fiction titles for her adult son. She did not give me any other

Christian Fiction readers I've recommended it to have enjoyed it. But for a
pure SciFi fan, it feels like someone tried to force a Bible story to be
Science Fiction -- or it did to me. After someone explained "allegorical
fiction" to me, I can say it is a good allegorical work. Hope that makes
sense...

Charles raises a good point. Anyone using "Christian" as a selection
criterion should perhaps be asked a couple of follow-up questions designed
to get at what that term means. Otherwise you might recommend a book that
many people, including the author, consider "Christian" but that the
patron/reader discovers to be -- I'm not exaggerating -- a Satanic
counterfeit whose purpose is to destroy his or her soul. (I'm assuming most
librarians don't *intend* to act as agents of Beelzebub....)
BTW, the second volume of C.S. Lewis' trilogy -- and the best, in some
readers' estimations -- is called "Perelandra."

search of the title lists.
I would also recommend Mary Doria Russell, but as has been pointed out, the

It's probably stretching to call it "Christian", but Orson Scott Card
incorporates Mormon life in some of his books. The one that particularly
comes to mind is "Lost Boys." It has been awhile since I've read it, so if
I'm way off base here, somebody gently bop me over the head and attribute my
error to too many books, too many genres!

The Christy Awards (http://www.christyawards.com/home.htm). Annual awards for Christian fiction; includes a "futuristic" category.
www.adherents.com includes a number of webpages dealing with religion and science fiction. See for example http://www.adherents.com/lit/sf_other.html. Be aware that some of the depictions of various religious groups may be critical or hostile, so this is more a source for exploration than a list of "approved" or "orthodox" books.
Likewise, the reading lists of groups like http://www.christian-fandom.org/ might provide some food for thought.
Other possibilities:
"Arena", by Karen Hancock. An allegorical novel of a modern young woman who finds herself unexpectedly trapped in a futuristic "arena".
"The Search for Fierra" and "The Siege of Dome", by Stephen R. Lawhead, are suggested by some internet lists of Christian science fiction. Haven't read 'em myself (yet). Apparently both books are available in an omnibus edition entitled "Empyrion".
"Ship of Fools", by Richard Paul Russo, has some parallels to Christian theology, although the ending struck me as ambiguous.
There are many other books that might or might not of interest, depending on your patron's definition of "Christian". For example, Walker Percy's "The Thanatos Syndrome" and "Lost in the Ruins" have science-fictional aspects, dealing with futuristic methods of altering the human mind and the religious/philosophical implications of doing so, and Robert J. Sawyer's "Calculating God" is interesting for its exploration of scientific evidence suggesting the existence of God; however, the novel's conclusion is not exactly theologically orthodox.
