The patron saw, and started reading, the book in 1997 in a grocery store in
Dallas. The story happened in Dallas, around that time. It was a paperback
book.
Our staff searched the full text newspapers on DIALOG, but nothing showed up
per the plot.
We emailed the SF Mystery Bookstore to see if they could id the book; no
response as of yet. Also looked through every book with the subject
heading of "homicide" in Book Review Digest, 1993-1998; and searched OCLC,
Novelist, Google, & Amazon.com.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? TIA for any help or suggestions!
