Our Library is planning on awarding our first annual "Bookie" Award in May.
Best male fictional character, fictional character that you'd most like to
meet etc. Does anyone have something similar that they would like to share
with me? It won't be online voting, just paper in-house voting.

It's not a library thing, but Romantic Times (now Romantic Tiimes Book Club)
has for years awwrds W.I.S.H. and K.I.S.S. awards. The former, I believe, is
Woman in Search of a Hero, and is awarded to contemporary books. The KISS
stands for Knight in Shining Silver, and is awarded to historical heroes.
Is this the kind of thing you mean?
For example, in the Feb 2004 issue, p. 37:
In Elizabeth Thornton's Shady Lady, Waldo Bowman is a confrimed rake reformed
by love
There are 4 other examples
Hope this helps.
