I have a patron looking for a book he checked out in 2003 from our library
and wanted to find again. He thinks it's fiction but may be based on a
true story. It's set in the 1880s on a freighter or ship carrying coal.
It goes to England, Chile, United States, and British Columbia.
He says there was a really good section on how a sextant works in it.

Does this ring any bells with anybody? Thanks in advance!

The patron was in the library last night and remembered the name of the
book -- it turned out to be NONfiction -- The Way of a Ship by Lundy!
