Has anyone done any programs to promote Janet Evanovich? I realize it is too late to do anything for To the Nines. I work at the main library in downtown Cincinnati, so a program at night would not be practical. Maybe at lunch time or a walk-in throughout the work day? Does anyone have any ideas?

While I've found that our library hardly needs to promote Janet Evanovich
(we get hold requests on all of her titles before they're even published),
you might try a lunchtime walk-through of her titles and some "read alikes"
of lesser known authors. Some of these are: Susan Andersen, Nancy
Bartholomew, Susan Isaacs, Harlan Coben, Sharyn McCrumb, to name a few.

I'm curious what you mean by promoting Evanovich. If ever there was an author who does not need promoting, she's it! She has so many fans that it might be fun to do some fan club kind of events, though.

Not really--I meant more of a display of Evanovich's books (in order by
"number") and then an accompanying display of readalikes set up so browsers
could stroll through during their lunch hour. Might be good in the summer
when people are looking for light reading.
