Need Title of 60's Triumph Auto Book
|

I have a patron who is looking for the title of a book he read in the 60's. Here is a
copy of his email request:
"When I was a freshman or sophomore ... in early 1960's, I read a book that I believe was
from your library. The book came up recently in a conversation as I just purchased an
older British sports car to restore. I thought the book was titled something like 'My
Red Car' or 'My Red Triumph.' It was about a high school boy who worked in a garage and
finally convinced an old mechanic to help he [sic] restored a wrecked Triumph (a TR3 I
think)."
Our library no longer has any book by these possible titles listed. I have looked in
Amazon, Google, Alibris, Genreflection -- all to no avaial. Can anybody help with a
title and author?
Thanks in advance,
