Could I get some guidance on Jack Higgins? He has many overlapping
characters and it's hard to figure out what, if any, order a reader would
want to tackle them. I prefer compiling lists in narrative or storyline
order. That's not always the way to go (some authors expect readers to read
books as they are published, even if the plotline jumps around in time) but
I always err on the side of narrative order.

I have some rough groupings by the most persistent (Devlin; Dillon) but
there are others (Jake Cazalet, for example) that seem like they should be
placed in some sort of order, but under what name, Dillon or Cazalet (or
both)?

I've tried To Be Continued, What's Next, Novelist, Sequels, What Do I Read
Next, amazon.com, BIP, some of the better Higgins websites.

As Martin Fallon, Higgins wrote of Paul Chavasse, a globe-trotting spy for
Britain in the 1960's, who is featured in:

Year of the Tiger (1963)

Midnight Never Comes (1966)
The Dark Side of the Street(1967)
A Fine Night for Dying (1969)
Day of Judgment (1979)

As Harry Patterson, he chronicled the adventures of Nick Miller, Sgt.
Central Division detective in London, England, in:

The Graveyard Shift (1965)
Brought in Dead (1967)
Hell Is Always Today (1968)

(These were later rereleased as by Higgins; Graveyard Shift had its first US
publication last year.)

I'm unable to find a master list for the Cazalet series.
