Hello, folks. (Anybody working Sunday?)
Here's one that I thought would be easy to
find, but has not yielded up its secrets to me
yet:
"I'm trying to find a book I know only by subject
matter. It is a fictional account of a young girl
who witnesses the lynching of her brother in the
backyard (south, 60's). The girl, in her
childlike way, takes it upon herself to find and
punish her brother's killers. I seem to remember
that one character was named Icy, which was odd
because this book is NOT "Icy Sparks". I heard a
review on NPR a few months ago, but can't find
anything in their archives."Anybody know this one?
