She thinks the word "Femme" was in the title of the first book of the series. The author is a man and his last name is "common" and starts with A, B, C, or D. The 2nd book came out new in fall of 2002. The plot of the first book is a woman in England is set up for a crime or framed. Somehow through the criminal justice system she is forced to change her identity and becomes a spy or assassin for Great Britain. She was trained in Scotland. We have searched NoveList, WorldCat, Amazon etc for the word "Femme" and cannot come up with anything that sounds like this description. Does the plot ring a bell with anyone?? Hope so. And thanks!

Has anyone developed discussion questions for Katherine Neville's The
Eight? I'm not having much luck finding anything but reviews of her
novels, and a patron would like a guide to use with her book group.
Thanks,

This could be a series (of 2 books so far) written by Paul Eddy. The
first is Flint and the second book is Flint's Law, which did come out in
2002. The protagonist, Grace Flint, works undercover for the Major Crimes
Unit of Scotland Yard. At the beginning of Flint, an undercover operation
goes bad and Grace is so badly beaten that she has to have major
reconstructive surgery to her face. Great thrillers.

A patron called seeking the name of a poem that has the
following line in it:
We do not give but only share.
She THINKS it might be by Ralph Ellison. She thinks it's a
poem that parents read to their children when the children
get married.
She said she's had a stroke and may be fuzzy on some of the
details.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for thinking
outside the fiction box on this one.
