Hello all! I had the really fine experience of attending the ALA/CLA
preconference on Readers' Advisory-Beyond the Basics. Of the several
good sessions, one was on RA websites, and I felt the need to contribute
one of my own. Unfortunately, I got the name wrong! :(

So, for all of you who were there, my apologies, and for those of you
who were not there, here's a really good site for awards, which you may
or may not know about. It's The Booklist Center:

And for those of you in Canada who have already heard me mention this
site, I will point out to you that the proprietor, David Taylor, has
recently created a Canadian section, gathering all the Canadian literary
awards together.

I was also lucky enough to attend the RA preconference that
Maureen mentioned. Someone asked about an online class for RA
training and I had mentioned that the University at Buffalo was
offering two online continuing education classes, Readers'
Advisory Services and Genre Fiction in Public Libraries, but I
didn't have the url. For anyone interested, more information can
