The Reader's Catalog is one of my favorites, too. I think it is one of the
best places to identify "non-fiction that reads like fiction" as well as
good coverage of fiction topics. I was surprised and happy to see an online
searchable and browsable edition buried in the B&N site. It is at
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/rdrscat/index.asp?userid=2X2UDGIA7B. I
compared it with the latest print edition we have. The online version has
been updated somewhat. Maybe this will turn out to be a more successful
acquisition and transition for them than BookBrowser was.

One thing I forget to mention: "The Reader's Catalog," both editions.
Absolutely marvelous tool. Thousands of lists, fiction and non-, all
subjects.
