Patron would like to know the name of a book her third grade teacher
read to her--she thinks it is an adult book, however. (Fiction)

The main character was a Marine on a mission--he was on a sub during
World War II. The sub sunk; and the men swam out--they ended up on a
Japanese-occupied island. The Marine escaped by stealing an airplane.
