Subject: Looking for Mystery Author to appear at our Library
I am looking to host a mystery writer from Connecticut or MA at our
library during the month of May 2003 for a book discussion and author book
signing.
Does anyone have the names & contact information of any Connecticut area
mystery writers interested in appearing at public libraries. We do allow
the
author to sell books at the event for signing.
Thank you,
Mary

For those not in New England, go to www.sistersincrime.org to find
the contact for your area.
The Mystery Writers of America are also interested in presenting
author programs in libraries. Al Blanchard, who was the "brother"
at our Sunday program is the Chapter President for New England.
The Mystery Writers are preparing a database of speakers. The
following is from their newsletter.
"We Heard You! Speakers Database Available Soon
Libraries have asked for a list of speakers available
for special events. We heard you! We're in the process
of developing a speakers database. Participants in this
project will be the first to be notified of its
availability. We expect to have the first version
of this database ready within the next 90 days."
For more info about the newsletter email [removed]@mysterywriters.org

The Mystery Writers of America should be helpful - in MA the (New
England)chapter president is Al Blanchard, [removed]@aol.com. CT is
part of the NY chapter, and the contact there is Barry Zeman,
[removed]@parkerinstitute.org. Also, Random House offers info on booking their
authors on their website at
http://www.randomhouse.com/library/authortips.html.
Hope this helps.
