HIstorical Workshop Might Interest You and/or Your Patrons

Washington Romance Writers (WRW) is presenting HISTORICAL DAY, an all day
historical workshop on Saturday, February 22nd. The event is free and open
to the public, and will appeal to anoyone who wants to write historical
romance, enjoys reading it, or is simply a history buff. Historical Day takes
place at the Church of the Covenant, 2666 N. Military Rd., Arlington, VA.
Featured are a bevy of experts on historical time periods: Alden O'Brien,
Daughters of the American Revolution Museum Curator, will lecture on and
present Period Costumes. The Little Maids of History will teach 18th Century
English Country Dancing. And the Noble Blades will discuss The Art of Combat
and Weaponry from Medieval Times until the Colonial Period.
WRW authors will be on hand to meet, greet and talk about the Historical
genre with attendees: Meredith Bond, Barbara Cummings, Elizabeth Holcombe,
Kim Headlee, K.M. Kimball awa Kathryn Jensen, Diana Lee Johnson, Kathleen
Karr, Susan King, Chelsea Lane, Patricia McLinn, Linda Morelli, Sherri
Neilson, Cynthia Pratt, Kathleen Gilles Seidel, Karen Lee, Hope Tarr, and
Linda Windsor. Tickets for a basketful of autographed books contributed by
the aforementioned writers and Heidi Betts, Terri Brisbin, Mary Blayney,
Miranda Jarrett, Cathy Maxwell, Mary Jo Putney, and Laurin Wittig will also
be available for purchase until the raffle drawing at day's end.
Lastly, a Medieval Groaning Board and Potluck Luncheon will be offered.
