I read a story about Bookcrossing.com in a local newspaper this weekend. I
don't know if the site has made an appearance on Fiction_L before. Either
way, I thought it may be of interest for you folks. It's an idea of pure
genius, no? Releasing books into the wild!

I've released several books, including one at the dentist's office where my
daughter saw someone take it, but no one has posted to the site yet. I did
get one email from a woman who ran to the Home Depot two hours after I had
released a book to try and find it, but was unsuccessful.

We've also had a couple of instances of patrons trying to check out books
that people had released in the library, which caused all kinds of
confusion!

I really love the idea though.

NPR did a great story about Bookcrossing a few months ago. It should still
