David just mentioned one of my favorite books for group discussion -
Talking about Books. Does anyone know how to get more copies? None of the
information on the book works and Baker & Taylor no longer carries the book.
Thanks, Patty

Hi, Denese,
I'm not really answering your specific
question - I'm sure someone else here will have a
tip for that - but one resource that I've found
really helpful in preparing discussion for any
book, whether anyone else has assembled questions
or not, is Marcia Fineman's 'Talking About
Books.' She includes an extensive list of
generic questions on Setting, Plot,
Conflict/Resolution, Characterization, Character
Motivation, and Theme, many of which can be
adapted to ANY work of fiction. It is great
getting pre-made questions, but sometimes these
are pretty lame, and you may find that you're
able to come up with more interesting additional
questions on your own, with this template to
steer by.
