I have a patron looking for this book. It is the story of a saddlebred
show horse and its owner, Jane. While riding on a train, the horse
jumps from the train and becomes lost. The horse has adventures at
several locations before being reunited with Jane at the end of the
book. The patron thinks that this might be a juvenile book, but says
that it could also be young adult or adult. Does anyone recognize the
story?
Thanks,
Emily Papagni

Something similar, as I recall, happens in Mary O'Hara's "Green Grass of
Wyoming," the third in the Flicka trilogy. A high-blooded filly somehow
(it's been years since I read the book) falls/jumps off a train and, I
think, ends up on her back in a ravine (maybe the cut alongside the
right-of-way), where Thunderhead, Flicka's wild white son, finds her.
