questions - Patterson/DeJonge's Beach House

The problem with running a fiction book club where members pick what they
like to read is that a lot of choices, although good reads, aren't taken
seriously enough by the literary world to generate any discussion questions.
This makes three months in a row of the same dilemma. My group doesn't
seem to lack fuel for conversation, but all the same, it'd be nice to have a
little framework for our discussion.
Just venting, thanks for listening. We don't really want to change the
format of our group, and we like the mix we've read so far. I'd just love to
see more "popular" fiction book club materials.

The opinions are my own; the library wouldn't want 'em!

Anyone know of book club discussion questions for The Beach House by James
Patterson and Peter De Jonge? It's our book club selection for February,
and so far, no questions.

you could always bring up patterson's method of writing: he comes up with the idea and farms off the actual writing to a lesser-known author. the november 4, 2002 issue of publishers weekly discusses this in depth. i can think of a lot of things to discuss about that.

``Ozzy Osbourne used to snort ants. Led Zeppelin had sex with
hookers on private planes. And I start a book club. Because
one can only snort so many ants and have so much sex before
one starts to long for the comfort and companionship of a book.''--Moby

Another place to check is the author's own website. Susan Wittig
Albert has discussion questions for her China Bayles mysteries
and I recently saw a romance author's site that had discussion
questions for some of her books (can't remember who it was now
though).
