Hi,
I have a patron who is looking for a book from his childhood. A father
takes his son and daughter on a canoe trip-he dies and the children are
left to make the trip home.
This book may be 25-30 years old. I'm hoping this collective brain can
help me!

It's probably "Cold River" by William Judson. It was published in about 1975.

Thanks Dove, I think this is the one- at least the brief description on Amazon
seemed to fit. According to Amazon, this was re-published in 1999 so I will just
order a copy.
