A patron is looking for a series of books, he thought
there were about twelve in the series about a vampire
planet. He also thought there was a character named
Harry Cohen or Cone in the series. He mentioned
something about the vampires going through a gate to
get to the vampire planet. He also thought the series
came out in the 80s.
Ring any bells?

Sounds like the Necroscope series/Vampire World series by Brian Lumley
and (mostly) starring Harry Keogh. The first book, Necroscope, came
out in 1986.
