A patron came in wanting the poem that has the line
"This is the face of a crone" or "This is the face of
the crone" or something similar. I found one on the
Interned called "Reflections" but that is not the one
she is looking for.
I have tried the Internet, Grangers Index to Poetry,
Index of Last Lines, and The World's Best Poetry. Can
anyone out there identify this?
Thank you.

The lady sat between her knees
And o'er them the lady's clasped hands met,
And on those hands her chin was set,
And her upturned face met the face of the crone
Wherein the eyes had grown and grown
As if she could double and quadruple
At pleasure the play of either pupil
