I'm thinking about doing a display of Non-fiction written by
authors who primarily write fiction. However, I'm blanking (as
usual) on a creative name for the display and I still need to
come up with some more titles. The ones I've come up with so far
are:
His Bright Light Danielle Steel
Love: poems Danielle Steel
Escaping into the Open Elizabeth Berg
Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women Jayne Ann Krentz
On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft Stephen King
Writing Popular Fiction Dean Koontz
Homecoming: New and Collected Poems Julia Alvarez

L. Sprague deCamp, the Great Old Dinosaur of SF, did numerous fact books,
some alone, some with his wife Catherine C., mostly about ancient
civilizations and their technology.
Dee Brown wrote both fiction and nonfiction on the American West.
Thomas B. Costain, while primarily a writer of historical fiction, also
produced "The White and the Gold" (a history of the French regime in Canada)
and a four-volume study of the Plantagenet family.
John D. MacDonald, best known for the Travis McGee mysteries, wrote "The
House Guests" about the pets he shared his home with.

This is off the top of my head: Travels with Charley, by Steinbeck, and
Mary Higgins Clark, title has Kitchen in it. Hemingway wrote both.

It's Kitchen Privileges. It's a pretty quick and entertaining read; I can
attest to the fact that you don't have to be a fan of her thrillers to enjoy
this book. :-)

I'm not sure if you'd count this, but Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of
Sherlock Holmes, wrote a history of spiritualism.
And Rudyard Kipling wrote "The Irish Guards in the Great War," as well as
his many short stories and his novels.
