A patron is looking for a book she thinks was pub. about 1986 (she remember Prince of Tides coming out at the same time). It concerned valuable chess pieces. She thought the title was "The Eight" and the author's name was something like Kathleen Manville, but we haven't been able to find anything. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
