A male patron is looking for fiction (not Romance, but general or
literary) which deals with a marriage in which the wife is better
educated than her husband.

Have you read (or read about) such a book? We would appreciate

Education is not really a factor in the plot, but in PERFECT MATCH by Jodi Picoult, the wife is a lawyer and the husband builds stone walls.

I just read a review of Househusband by Ad Hudler. However, the wife may
not be better educated, just more successfully employed.

In Susan Elizabeth Phillips book "Nobody's Baby but Mine" the wife has a
PhD while the husband has a Bachelor's. However the issue between the two
of them is not education but perceived intelligence.

discussion about the oddity of their relationship but there's much more to
the plot than the level of their education.

I had made this request on behalf of a male reader who was looking
for literary fiction. Thank you very much for your contributions. Here
they are:

Perfect Match by Jody Picoult is about a lawyer wife
whose husband is a stone mason.
Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver has a wife with
graduate degrees and the husband is a farmer.
Nobody's Baby But Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
has wife with PhD and husband with Bachelors degree.
Househusband by Ad Hudler concerns a husband who moves
cross country so his wife can take a great job oppor-
tunity.
Century's Son by Robert Boswell has a wife who is a
professor and husband who is a sanitation engineer/
garbage collector.
