I think that LeGuin is best known in the YA world for her Earthsea Trilogy
(which has expanded beyond the original three books). As far as adult
fiction goes, two of her best known titles would be "The Left Hand of
Darkness," and "The Dispossessed."

Probably LeGuin's most critically acclaimed works are "The Dispossessed" and
"The Left Hand of Darkness." However, her most accessible and popular books
are the Earthsea Trilogy--"A Wizard of Earthsea," "The Tombs of Atuan," and
"The Farthest Shore"--which are often considered YA. (The pendant fourth
volume isn't worth your money.) Her best short pieces can be found in "The
Wind's Twelve Quarters" and "Orsinian Tales."
