Does anyone know if Plato's The Meno exsists in a childrens or young adult
version?

I know of some introductions to Plato and Greek
Philosophy for younger readers, but no abridged
or simplified version of the dialogues
themselves.
Much depends on translation, and I recommend the
old Grube translation over the Allen or Guthrie
versions. It is relatively plainspoken.
You know what might work well, though, is to
read along with a recording. I've never heard
them, but Agora Publications sells all the
dialogues, and you can get Meno/Ion for $25. The
translation is apparently a dramatic adaptation
of the old Jowett translation, and might work
really well. They sell the text also.
