I realize that this is a thread from last month, but I thought I'd add my 2
cents, anyway.

People requesting short reads might be interested in books by Paul Gallico
(one of my all-time favorite authors. I'm thinking particularly of THE SNOW
GOOSE, LUDMILLA, and THE LOVE OF SEVEN DOLLS (on which the movie and Broadway
play "Lili" was based).

Folks -

I tried to send this several days ago, but I never saw it arrive in
Fiction-L. If this is the second time I sent this, I am sorry.
On April 23, I sent a request for recent short reads to supplement
the existing Fiction_L list "One Day Reads for the Beach". Here are the
results. I also have this in Excel format, sorted by author and length if
anyone would like a copy in that format - just contact me off list.

In case you are interested, I am using this and other lists to
create a bibliography of Short, Shorter and Shortest Reads for our adult
summer reading program. I will send folks that list, if they just contact
me.
