A colleague asked me to pass on a query. Her patron
is looking for a mystery by a female author whose name
sounds "Asian". Her character is not Asian-American
but is a DA in Minnesota possibly. Of all these
pieces of info. the only one that is for sure
according to the patron is that the character is not
Asian-American.

I know several mystery series that feature
Asian-American characters with authors who don't sound
the same, but can't think of any in the reverse.

Any thoughts?
