I need any good resources on Jack the Ripper. This may also include
anything about that era (ie. clothing that was worn, music, etc.). Thanks!

Also, the Carole and Barry Kaye Museum of Miniatures, on Wilshire Blvd. in
Los Angeles, houses a scale model of the street where the murders occurred.
There might be pictures of this in one of their catalogs or something.

There's a humongous web site on this subject, the "Jack the Ripper
Casebook," at http://www.casebook.org/intro.html. The "Suspects" page is
particularly interesting, and the site (which I haven't really explored) may
also recommend books and whatnot.

- Jack the Ripper: The Complete casebook by Donald Rumbelow
an older but very good book on the case, and if you are
ever in London be sure to take Rumbelow's Jack the Ripper
walking tour of the Whitechapel area. Spooky fun.
- Jack the Ripper: A-Z by Paul Begg
Mega-detailed and ever so fascinating.
- Jack the Ripper: A Reference Guide by Scott Palmer
- Ultimate Jack the Ripper Companion: An illustrated Encyclopedia
by Stewart Evans
- Jack the Ripper: The Final Solution by Stephen Knight
Not a reference book but it was the first to speculate
that the murders were part of a Masonic conspiracy to
cover up prince Eddie's connection to the case. This
theory has been pretty much discredited but it was
very influential and has shown up in numerous other
books ,including Alan Moore's "From Hell." It's also
just a really good read.
- Jack the Ripper: Letters from Hell by S.M. Evans
Interesting book that analyzes all of the Ripper
letters that were mailed to the police and press during
the time of the murders.
I'm very curious about Cornwell's take on the Ripper because she is
focusing on Sickert who was a key player in Knight's Final Solution
theory, although, I have to laugh at the title, "Jack the Ripper: Case
Closed." Yeah, right, closed until next month when someone else comes up
with another equally interesting and plausible theory.
