I have a patron looking for young adult fiction about World War I. Besides,
Rostkowski's After the Dancing Days, does anyone have further suggestions?
Thank you,

I read it at age 12 and have never forgotten: Remarque's All Quiet on the
Western Front.

No hero for the Kaiser by Rudolf Frank
Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian
Homecoming by Elsa Posell
Pictures, 1918 by Jeanette Ingold
After the dancing days by Margaret Rostkowski
The ornament tree by Jean Thesman
These all take place between 1914 and 1919. In some the war is not the
central theme but it is at least mentioned in all of them.

Here's a list I prepared a few months ago when I was
looking for the same thing. Some are merely set in the
same time period, others involve the actual war.
Farmer, Penelope. Charlotte Sometimes. A girl changes
places in time with a girl living at a boarding school
in England during WWI.
McKay, Sharon E. Charlie Wilcox.
Pevsner, Stella. Call me Heller, that's my name.
Peyton, K. M. The Flambard's Trilogy (Flambards, The
Edge of the Cloud, Flambards in Summer). Set in
England before, during, and after WWI.
Richard, Adrienne. Wings.
Skurzynski, Gloria. Good-bye, Billy Radish. [set in
USA during WWI]
Voigt, Cynthia. Tree by leaf.
You might also suggest Patricia Anthony's FLANDERS,
which is told in the form of letters from an American
volunteer to his younger brother at home.
Also, re: the Pat Barker trilogy - these are excellent
books! However, if your patron is likely to be put off
by bi/homosexuality, they might not be the best
choice.
