"The sum of the whole is this: walk and be happy; walk and be healthy. The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose."

..with a purpose. The wandering man knows of certain ancients, far gone in years, who have staved off infirmities and dissolution by earnest walking - hale fellows, close up on ninety, but brisk as boys."

You could then go into each book, one at a time, and use the "find
in page" command in your browser (it's "Find" under the "Edit" menu
in my Netscape, or just keyboard it as Control-F ) and put in a
string of two or three words from the quote that are fairly unusual
and likely to have been correctly quoted-- perhaps
walk steadily
or perhaps
lengthen out our days
for instance.
Click on the "find next" box and it will search the text of that
book. Keep clicking until you get a "not found" message.
You could also use a shorter/broader search, such as just
walk
which will of course bring up many irrelevant hits but should
preclude possible problems with misquotations. (The "find"
command is extremely literal, character for character...)
The "find" searching only takes a few seconds, but of course moving
from book and book will get a bit tedious (and depending on power
of your machine downloading a text might be slow--or, again, might
take only seconds), but if it is in Dickens and the quote is accurately
reported, this should eventually turn it up.
