Have a stumper for you all. I received this information second-hand
from the Reference librarian. This is what I got:

Patron has read books 1 & 2 in series. Cannot remember author
or title but wants to read book 3. What she remembers:

1. Publisher is either Bethany House or Zondervan, so book is
Christian fiction.

2. Takes place in pre-revolutionary/colonial historical times of the
USA.

3. Is about 2 women who swap children to save their lives. (And I
don't know if that the women's lives that are saved or the children's
lives that are saved, but I would guess the latter.)

We have ruled out the series "Of Saints and sinners" by H. Fickett.

This is The Song of Acadia series, by Janette Oke and T. Davis Bunn. The first
book is The Meeting Place, set mostly in pre-revolutionary Nova Scotia. There
are four books so far, with at least one more in the works.

Oops, I see that you're patron wants the title of the third book, which
is The Birthright. The fourth book, just out, is The Distant Beacon.
