Hi again!
A patron asked one of our staff for a Science Fiction book she thinks is
about 20 years old. It is the story of a planet which blows up. People
escape from the explosion and land on earth. They blend in with the rest
of the earthly population except that these special people have ESP.
Does anyone know what this title is?

I think this is "The People" by Zenna Henderson. Amazingly enough, these
are still in print. And just to prove I have too much junk clogging up
my brain cells, there was a movie made several years ago based on the
book starring William Shatner and Kim Darby (both of Star Trek fame).

Most likely the Zenna Henderson stories first run as a series in
MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION; then collected in
PILGRIMMAGE: BOOK OF THE PEOPLE and THE PEOPLE: NO DIFFERENT FLESH,
and more recently reissued by NESFA Press in one volume, including
one previously unpublished story:
