Subject: Awards site
I have several sites bookmarked that list book awards. None seem to
allow me to search by title and bring back results of the award/s that
book has won. Does anyone know of a site that allows provides this
information.
Thanks!

For science fiction and fantasy awards, the LOCUS awards site will
let you determine this from an alphabetic list of book and story
titles (it covers short stories, movies, etc. as well as books):
http://www.locusmag.com/SFAwards/Db/Title0.html
or from a related list of authors etc.
http://www.locusmag.com/SFAwards/Db/Nom0.html
The site is still a work in progress, but the major awards and a
lot of minor ones seem to be there.
A search for authors or works on the Internet Speculative Fiction
Data Base also lists awards if they have the data on such in their
base, but usually they don't:

This is an excellent site and I will certainly use it and make others aware of
it! I found that I can search by title; the results screen gives me other
pertinent info about the book but not the award that it received. Maybe I'm not
searching correctly. What I'm really trying to do is type in a title and find
out what award the book won if any.

This is the site that Erica Nutzman pointed me to yesterday when I was
looking for a site that I could type in a title and find out what award
the book won. On the results screen there is a code that refers to the
award the book won. This is just what I was looking for. The site also
allows you to get a list of the award winning titles for a particular
award. A very useful site for all but especially those dealing with
children's services. Our children's librarian thinks its super. So a big
thank you to Erica. Now if I could find a site as equally good for adult
books....

NoveList and Galenet's What Do I Read Next? are subscription services which
give the award information when you search by title. I use both services
every day in my Readers' Advisory and in preparation for book discussions.
